About Amsterdam Science Park
Amsterdam Science Park combines a unique juncture of prestigious education, high-quality research and knowledge-intensive business, which has been carefully cultivated to stimulate innovation and collaboration.
With the University of Amsterdam Faculty of Science, the Amsterdam University College, dozens of renowned research institutes and some 130 companies – from start-ups to multinationals – all working in the fields of IT, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Advanced Technology, Instrumentation, Physics and Sustainability, Amsterdam Science Park has become a vibrant melting pot where business, science and innovation meet.
Amsterdam Science Park is located in the eastern part of the city, not far from the seventeenth-century historic centre. The park has an urban character in which buildings, landscape and open space are closely interwoven. The University of Amsterdam (UvA), the City of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) own the property.

Science Park Creatives is a platform for students, artists, researchers, and entrepreneurs that aims to create a collaborative and innovation-minded entrepreneurial ecosystem, integrating arts with sciences. Open Lab Friday!
Beetle Fiber Optics are hosting an Open Lab every Friday at Science Park 402 (Matrix III). Anyone is welcome to use their free facilities such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and arduino raspberry pi prototyping boards for (creative) projects. The Open Lab is led by Jorrit who will be happy to give you a short introduction on the equipment and help you get started.
