Use-cases: iChoosr

Background
iChoosr is a company with an ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit working in the group buying industry. They engage with consumers to enable them to make well-informed decisions in a simple and easy way across various industries such as solar panels, energy, and ease of living.

However, as the energy transition continues at a tremendous pace, there is a continuous need for them to innovate and understand what modern technology, like AI, could bring to the industry in the coming 20/30 years. And, more importantly, what role iChoosr could play in this.

Together with iChoosr, we developed a Dot on the Horizon session that tackled this problem. We invited two experts on sustainability and the energy transition and, together with a delegation from iChoosr, they discussed the role of AI in the energy transition in length.

Key takeaways

After 1.5hrs of intense conversations and many questions, several conclusions could be drawn:

  • The energy transition is mainly led through rules and regulations as determined by the EU (a so-called ‘regulated’ industry). It is important to keep a close eye on relevant trends and developments, including those in AI, to stay up-to-date and be able to act quickly

  • Society is slowly turning into a sharing economy. People are mainly looking for solutions that offer convenience, instead of owning products

  • iChoosr itself, through its nature of dealing with many customers, has a lot of data available. Using this data in a smart way will provide a better overview of their current client base and will allow trends to be discovered early
