  • April 24 | Meet Your Co-Founder XL |Life Sciences & Health Edition

    Meet Your Co-Founder XL is a live national matchmaking event to find a promising tech start-up to join or to find a co-founder to strengthen your tech company.

    This edition centers around Life Sciences & Health: Digital Health Solutions, MedTech, Biotech, (Bio)pharma, and Diagnostics.

    Application process
    1. Register for Meet Your Co-Founder XL before April 2, at 12:00 pm.
    2. We select tech companies and co-founders based on the criteria of motivation, supply & demand and criteria as indicated by the start-up’s needs.
    3. In case you are selected to join our curated match-making event, you will receive an official invitation before April 11, 2024.

  • April 25 | From concept to cure: Empowering startups in oncology innovation

    Join this Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS symposium, designed to empower oncology startups in tackling critical challenges, including:

    Proof-of-concept.

    Clinical Trial Complexities.

    Competition.

    During the symposium speakers from both inside and outside Johnson & Johnson will share how they’ve addressed these challenges, and how startups might access the expertise and resources to do so.

  • April 25 | AI020 | Amsterdam AI

    Amsterdam AI presents: AI020. On April 25th expect to be surprised. It's for students, companies and AI enthusiasts in general. There are no visitors, only participants at this event!

    The programme is based on supply and demand; of students and employers but also visitors and presenters, jobs and future employees. It is a unconference networking opportunity, a community gathering, a bridge between knowledge and industry, and a dynamic space for innovation.

  • May 2 | TTT_AI Workshop: patenting and 'open source' licensing of SW AI & data

    a workshop on IP for AI (patents and Open Source licensing) specifically with scientists in mind. They can be working towards a spin-out, or working in an ICAI Lab, or as scientists in research dealing with research collaboration and consortium agreements, wanting to learn about IP matters.

    Two experts on patent right and copy right (including Open Source licensing) will be presenting: Arnoud Engelfriet (ICTRecht) and Anson van Rooij (Arnold & Siedsma).

  • May 3 | The Amsterdam Founder and Investor Meetup 2024

    Hosted by AMS Institute and Startup Network Europe, and sponsored by HubSpot for Startups, The Amsterdam Founder and Investor Meetup 2024 is an intimate gathering of Dutch Pre-Seed and Seed Stage VCs, Angel Investors, and Founders.

    Please note that:
    You must be a Startup Founder, CXO, or Investor in order to attend. We do not consider Agencies, Coaches, Consultants, and similar service providers to be Startups.

    How is AI impacting the media and our democratic processes? What can be expected in the near future, and what measures need to be taken to ensure society at large benefits from these rapid developments? The emergence of powerful AI (such as Large Language Models) is rapidly pervading our digital society and has the potential to profoundly transform people’s public and private lives. There is therefore an urgent need to explore how we can ensure that these developments are both enriching, beneficial and fair for society as a whole.

  • May 30 | Festive kick-off symposium AI for Sustainable Molecules and Materials

    Recently, the University of Amsterdam initiated its Research Priority Area on AI for Sustainable Molecules and Materials. On Thursday afternoon, 30 May 2024, a festive kick-off meeting will be organized for research staff, students and external guests who are working in this field already, as well as researchers interested in learning about this new vibrant field of science. Especially for the latter, the program contains inspiring showcases and matchmaking activities.

    The event will take place in the Auditorium of the Matrix ONE building, Science Park 301, Amsterdam.
