From Science to Business
Startup Village started as a bold idea, “let’s build a village of sea containers turned into offices and make this a unique sight”.
Together with the Amsterdam Science Park, UvA Ventures Holding, Julius Taminiau Architects the idea became reality. Startup Village is created to provide a unifying hub for AI and Quantum startups.
The Making Off
In 2016 Startup Village started with the sea containers turned into offices, based on a design by Julius Taminiau Architects inspired by Pop Brixton, in London’s Brixton area. The design has proven its worth, as the unique architecture keeps drawing attention worldwide. The full project was finished in 2018, including the Venture Studio.
Ever since Startup Village built a community of startups & network partners with focus on AI and Quantum. It is a magic place where startups apply new technologies to bring innovation forward and make our lifes better.
We facilitate interaction, collaboration and knowledge exchange between Science, the Startup Ecosystem and Business. And we offer an innovative location where the community meet-up, hold offices and attend events.
